American Dry Cleaning Company is one of London's leading garment care specialists, providing dry cleaning, laundry, alterations and restoration services.

Our Central Processing Unit (CPU) has a skilled team working with modern equipment to process thousands of garments every week.

We are looking for a practical, reliable and enthusiastic person to join our team as a Trainee Production Operative.

No dry cleaning experience is required. We provide a full training programme and practical on-the-job training to help you develop specialist garment care skills.

This role is particularly suitable for candidates currently in the UK on a Graduate (Post Study Work) visa who are looking for a long-term career and may require sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa programme (subject to eligibility).

The Role

You will receive training and work across different areas of our production operation, including:

• Garment spotting and stain removal.
• Dry cleaning and laundry processing.
• Pressing and finishing garments.
• Folding, sorting and packing customer orders.
• Quality checking garments before they go back to customers.
• Using specialist production equipment.
• Preparing customer orders.
• Driving between our facilities, branches and customers.
• Supporting the production team with daily activities.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workplace.

Full Training Provided

You will learn:

• How dry cleaning and laundry processes work.
• Different fabrics and garment care.
• How to identify and treat stains.
• Professional finishing and pressing techniques.
• Quality control standards.
• Safe use of specialist equipment.
• Customer service and delivery procedures.

Experience in manufacturing, engineering, repairs, hospitality, retail, crafts or other practical roles would be useful, but full training will be provided.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence (or legal entitlement to drive in the UK).
• Basic spoken and written English.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to undertake practical and manual work.
• Flexible approach to supporting different areas of the business.
