ABOUT YOUR TEAM

The Creative and Digital department comprises of Media, Performing Arts and Art and Design.

You will be part of the Media team, who are responsible for the planning, delivery and assessment of learners engaged in Media Production based programmes at levels 2 and 3. You may, where appropriate, be required to work In a cross curricular capacity relating to your specialist skills and knowledge.

This is a great opportunity for a dynamic and highly motivated, professional individual, qualified in an appropriate discipline, to join a rapidly expanding and popular department.

The role will require the successful candidate to plan, deliver and assess media qualifications at Level 2 and 3. This will involve supporting students to create, edit and broadcast/live stream a range of media products and content. Theoretical delivery will also be required.

It is essential you are qualified to minimum of degree level in the appropriate subject or have relevant industry experience. The ideal candidate will also hold a relevant teaching qualification.

You must have the ability to build positive relationships, displaying excellent communication, organisational and administrative skills, demonstrating a flexible and professional attitude.

You will be a highly self-motivated, forward thinking, energetic and driven individual with a ‘can do’ attitude and a strong sense of autonomy.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Whilst experience is valuable, we do welcome applications from newly qualified teachers or those wanting to complete a PGCE whilst working.

This post carries 828 delivery hours on an annual basis for a full-time contract.

The post holder will be expected to take on the role of personal tutor and deliver the college tutorial programme to a group or groups of students.

The role will require you to embed the college’s values; Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, Ambition and Compassion.
