What you'll bring to the team

Actor - 5 Days per week

Location: London Dungeons

Contract: 25-hour contract, candidates must be available to work across all days of the week, including weekends and bank holidays, with shifts scheduled across 5 days.

OI PEASANTS…WE’RE RECRUITING! Ever fancied being part of the scariest and funniest journey through London's darkest past as an Actor? With spectacular sets and costumes to match, we pride ourselves on giving our guests a truly memorable experience and it’s our Actors who really bring The London Dungeon to life!

There's a variety of characters to sink your teeth into, one day you could be ridding the city streets of the plague and the next tearing out a traitor’s tongue for betraying the King. So, your ability to learn scripts quickly and deliver strong strict performances will be paramount, as well as displaying high stamina and strong vocal ability.

Our Trainers work hard to make sure that our cast are consistently delivering freakishly high standard shows, so we’ll need you to adopt any directions given.

Flexibility is important as our attractions are open daily and you’ll be needed to work weekends, bank holidays and peak holiday seasons on a roster basis. For this reason, we advise that only candidates who can offer full availability and are prepared to work exclusively for us during this period, should apply at this time.

This is an 8‑month contract with a guaranteed minimum of 25 hours per week. You’ll work across 5 days, and we’re looking for candidates who can offer full flexibility - especially during our peak periods, when additional hours may be required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • To be considered please attach your acting CV and up-to-date head shots.
  • Due to the nature of this role we can only accept applications from candidates 18 and over.
  • Flexible availability and able to work across 5 days per week required.

  • Someone who is outstanding at performing scripts and character acting.

  • Knowledge of voice control and taking direction to deliver consistently high standard shows.
  • Performance skills that could be utilised to create memorable experiences for our guests.

Benefits

Alongside the opportunity to perform to thousands of international guests in your residency, you’ll also receive:

  • Monthly Bonus based on guest satisfaction

  • 25% discount in our retail shops and restaurants and 40% off LEGO online

  • Merlin Magic Pass - giving you free tickets to all our attractions worldwide for you, your family, and friends every year

  • Discounted rates at Merlin hotels all over the world

  • Employee pricing up to 55% off cinema tickets
