We are looking for Early Years Practitioners Location: The Playroom London, Earlsfield (moments from Earlsfield Station)Position: Level 3 Qualified | Competitive Salary | Permanent | Full and part-time roles available
About Us
Welcome to The Playroom London a bright, modern nursery and preschool in the heart of Wandsworth, just a short walk from Earlsfield Station. Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, we pride ourselves on creating a ‘home away from home', a supportive, inspiring, and happy environment for both our children and our staff.
We are looking for fantastic Early Years Practitioners to join our friendly and passionate nursery team. If you want to feel valued, appreciated, and supported in your role, we’d love to meet you.
The Role
We are seeking Early Years Practitioners who are committed, caring, and full of enthusiasm. Your role will be to create a safe, warm, and nurturing environment where the children can explore, grow, and thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children’s development through age-appropriate activities and experiences
- Act as a key person, building strong relationships with children and families
- Plan, observe, and track each child’s progress
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in the baby room
- Work collaboratively with the team, contributing to a positive and happy culture
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies and procedures

What We’re Looking For
You must have:
- Level 3 Qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent)
- A genuine passion for working with babies and young children
- Excellent written and spoken English
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- Strong organisational skills and timekeeping
- A proactive, flexible attitude with the ability to use initiative
- A happy, bubbly, team-oriented personality
Performance & Reward Structure – 5-Year Staff KPI Plan
We believe in recognising dedication and hard work. Our KPI-based annual bonus scheme rewards staff based on:
- Sickness – number of days absent per year
- Lateness – number of late arrivals for shifts
- Performance & Targets – achievement of role-specific goals, training completion, and absence of disciplinary records
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary, Fixed term contract, Volunteer
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: £27,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
