Full job description

The role in a nutshell:
Age UK Hertfordshire supports older people may be affected by isolation. By volunteering with us you can help maintain the health and wellbeing of elderly people by sharing a friendly moment of conversation.

Once a week you will call or visit someone and offer them a friendly listening ear. This will help reduce their feelings of loneliness. This role is about providing emotional support - engaging people in conversations about things that are of general interest to them, being a good listener, understanding, and supportive.
