Duties

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and specials.
• Take accurate orders and relay them efficiently to the kitchen, ensuring timely preparation and service.
• Serve food and beverages with professionalism, maintaining high standards of presentation and etiquette.
• Upsell menu items and specials to maximise guest satisfaction and revenue.
• Monitor guest needs throughout their visit, responding promptly to requests or concerns.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and maintain cleanliness in all service areas.
• Assist in training junior staff members, sharing expertise in service techniques and restaurant procedures.
• Handle payments accurately, process transactions efficiently, and manage cash or electronic payments securely.

Skills

• Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments, with a solid understanding of serving protocols.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and basic food preparation techniques.
• Excellent guest service skills, with the ability to anticipate guest needs and provide personalised attention.
• Strong organisational skills with effective time management to handle multiple tables during busy service periods.
• Basic maths skills for processing bills and handling transactions accurately.
• Previous experience working in a high-end restaurant environment is advantageous.
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest engagement.
• Team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills and a professional demeanour.
