Relief Event Staff - Front of House - Waiters

We are looking for experienced Event Staff, Front of House Assistants and Waiting On Staff to support a busy period of events in the Grange over Sands area, starting from September.

This role will involve working across a range of events, including charity dinners, weddings, corporate functions and private events. You will be supporting the smooth running of service, helping with event set up, table service, drinks service, clearing down and ensuring guests receive a professional and friendly experience throughout.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous hospitality, waiting on, banqueting or event service experience who enjoys working in a busy and polished environment. Shifts will vary depending on event requirements, so flexibility is important. This is not a weekend only role, as weekday availability will also be required.

Applicants must be able to travel reliably to Grange over Sands and the surrounding event locations.

All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and must be aged 18 or over, as the role involves alcohol service.


Event Staff Ideal Profile:

  • Previous experience in waiting on, Front of House, banqueting or event service
  • Confident delivering professional table service during busy events
  • Experience with weddings, charity dinners, corporate events or private functions would be beneficial
  • Positive, friendly and well presented with strong communication skills
  • Able to work well as part of a team in a fast paced environment
  • Good attention to detail across table set up, service, clearing and guest care
  • Flexible with availability, including weekdays, evenings and weekends
  • Reliable and able to travel to Grange over Sands and surrounding event locations


Event Staff Responsibilities:

  • Support service across weddings, charity dinners, corporate events and private functions
  • Assist with event set up, including laying tables and preparing service areas
  • Provide professional waiting on and Front of House service to guests
  • Support drinks and wine service where required
  • Clear tables, maintain service areas and assist with event close down
  • Work closely with the wider team to ensure each event runs smoothly
  • Deliver excellent guest service with a polite and professional approach
  • Adapt to different event styles, layouts and service requirements
  • Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and organisation throughout each shift
