Full job description

Overview
We are looking for experienced hospitality staff to come and join the front of house team at the White Bull Hotel, located in the beautiful village of Ribchester. Your role will include looking after our guests, taking orders, bartending, running food, keeping the place tidy, etc.

This is a part time position with a mixture of hours across the week.

Requirements
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older as serving alcohol is an expected task.
Applicants must have relevant experience in the hospitality industry.
Applicant must be available evenings and weekends.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and assist them with menu selections.
  • Take accurate food and drink orders using a point-of-sale system.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets our culinary standards.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience and address any concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Assist in basic food preparation as needed, contributing to a smooth kitchen operation.

Experience

  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
  • Strong guest service skills with a focus on creating positive experiences.
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
  • Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary terminology is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with bartending drink and cocktail preparation techniques.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
