Full job description

Job Summary:

The Front of House staff are the first point of contact for guests and play a key role in delivering an exceptional dining experience. They are responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations and waitlists, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
  • Manage reservations, seating charts, and waitlists
  • Escort guests to their tables and present menus
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to kitchen or bar staff
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally
  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues promptly
  • Process payments and operate POS systems
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area,bar, restrooms, and service stations
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and service standards
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure efficient service
  • Uphold the restaurant/bar’s image and customer service standards at all times

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous restaurant and bar or hospitality experience essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Basic math and cash-handling skills
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
