Job Summary

The Seasonal Buffet Server Assistant will be responsible for maintaining a clean, tidy, and welcoming dining environment. Key duties include clearing used plates and dishes from guest tables, resetting tables promptly after guests leave, and ensuring the dining area is clean, organised, and ready for the next guest.

We are currently looking for candidates who are available to work during half-term holidays and the Christmas season. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible seasonal work and valuable hospitality experience.

For candidates who demonstrate good performance, reliability, and a positive attitude, there may be an opportunity to continue in a long-term part-time position after the seasonal period.

Responsibilities

• Clear used plates from guest tables
• Reset tables after guests leave (clean table surface, arrange chairs, place standard table settings)
• Maintain cleanliness in the dining area (tabletops, floors, chair surroundings)
• Observe guest dining status to avoid removing plates too early
• Sort and return collected dishes
• Provide simple polite service (e.g., “Thank you”, “I can take this for you”)

Requirements

• Good work attitude: punctual, cooperative, willing to learn
• Consistent and stable work mindset: able to maintain steady performance throughout the shift without fluctuation in speed, focus, or attitude
• Observation and discipline: able to judge when guests have finished dining
• Basic communication skills: able to use simple polite phrases with guests
• Physical stamina: able to stand for long periods and carry lightweight dishes
• Hygiene awareness: maintain personal cleanliness and follow hygiene standards
