THE ROLE:

La Vista, also known as "the view," is an elegant Italian restaurant located at Cameron House. It offers breathtaking views of Loch Lomond and features chic décor with floor-to-ceiling windows, eclectic pendant lighting, and statement booths. Guests can enjoy authentic Italian dishes crafted with passion, including handmade pastas, pizzas, seafood, and enticing small plates. La Vista also offers a stylish private dining room for exclusive group experiences and al fresco dining to embrace the natural beauty of the surroundings.

The scope of the role is to create a warm welcome and create special memories through exceptional service of Food and Beverage which exceeds guests expectations everytime

Key things you will be responsible for:

• Confident menu and service knowledge
• Preparing for service - Mise en place
• Cleanliness and presentation of your section
• Setting tables with crockery, cutlery and glass wear
• Liaison with the kitchen team and clear communication of special dietary requirements
• Service of food and accompaniments
• Clearing tables and resetting for next service
• Requisitions and secure handling of stock

TO BE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY YOU WILL ALSO NEED:

• Great interpersonal skills with an ability to confidently interact at all levels
• Basic IT skills and ability to use hand held technology
• Knowledge and certification of Food Hygiene requirements an advantage

The original estate was home to the Smollett family for over 300 years, including the famous 18th Century novelist and poet, Tobias Smollett. Tobias travelled widely, yet the vision of his Scottish home was never lost, "I have seen Lake Garda, Albana, De Visco, Bolsetta and Geneva. Upon my honour, I prefer Loch Lomond to them all."
