  • The role of a Night Shift Coordinator at WS Solutions involves being the first point of contact for WS drivers, resolving queries, and providing support to the night operation. The coordinator is responsible for monitoring service levels, maintaining standards, and ensuring efficient handling of consignments. Managing all transport related issues, to ensure maintenance issues are recorded and actioned in advance of dayshift handover. The role requires a high level of communication skills, both written and verbal , and the ability to work under pressure
Key responsibilities include:
  • Briefing/debriefing site-based drivers & distributing allocated work.
  • Processing discrepancies on consignments with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Keeping accurate records of discussions or correspondence with depots/contracts.
  • Dealing with difficult telephone calls calmly and professionally.
  • Building and maintaining positive internal/external relationships.
  • Working as an effective team player.
  • Maintaining accurate transport records including delivery logs, vehicle checks, and incident reports.
  • Communicating with warehouse and customer service teams to ensure smooth handovers between shifts.
