Job Opportunity: Night Shift Warehouse Operative
Location: Shireoaks / Worksop
Company: Refrigerated Delivery Services Ltd.
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shift: Night Shift (9 hours per night)
Schedule: 9-week rolling rota
Hours: Average 46 hours per week

The Role:
We are looking for a reliable and hard-working Night Shift Warehouse Operative to join our team. You’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of goods within our temperature-controlled warehouse. This includes unloading deliveries, checking stock, picking and packing orders, and preparing goods for distribution.

This is a physically active role that requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving & Handling Goods

  • Unload deliveries from trucks and vans (manually or using equipment)
  • Check incoming stock against documentation and inspect for damage or discrepancies
  • Sort and store items in designated temperature zones (ambient, chilled, and frozen)

Order Fulfillment

  • Pick and prepare customer orders accurately
  • Label and load goods onto vehicles for dispatch

Warehouse Operations

  • Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet trucks safely
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with health & safety standards
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors regarding tasks and issues
  • Support other warehouse duties as required

What We’re Looking For:✔ Previous warehouse experience (preferred)
✔ Comfortable working in ambient, chilled, and frozen environments
✔ Physically fit – capable of lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
✔ Team player with good communication skills
✔ Basic computer literacy
✔ Forklift licence (an advantage, but not essential – training may be provided)
✔ A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
