Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-focused Warehouse Operative to join our Sampling team at our NG16 location. The successful candidate will be responsible for picking, cutting, labelling and topping up fabric samples, as well as supporting with parts requests and customer sample queries.

This role is suited to someone who enjoys hands-on warehouse work, takes pride in accuracy, and can work well in a busy environment. You will play an important part in ensuring customer sample requests are completed correctly and efficiently.

Previous warehouse, sampling, textiles or fulfilment experience would be beneficial, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Pick fabric samples accurately in line with customer orders
  • Top up sample stock to ensure availability for customer requests
  • Label fabric samples clearly and correctly, following the correct process
  • Cut fabrics for samples to the required size and direction
  • Process parts requests accurately and efficiently
  • Monitor and respond to emails from Customer Service relating to customer sample requests
  • Check samples for accuracy, quality and presentation before they are sent out
  • Report any damaged, incorrect or low-stock items to a manager
  • Maintain an organised, clean and safe working area
  • Support the Sampling team in meeting daily targets and deadlines
  • Follow company procedures and health and safety requirements at all time

Skills

Previous experience in a warehouse, production, fulfilment, textiles or sampling role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to follow processes carefully
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
  • Reliable, proactive and willing to support the wider team where needed
  • Basic IT skills would be beneficial for responding to emails and processing requests
