E-commerce Forklift Fulfilment Associate

Job Description:

Builder Depot are one of the leading Independent Builders Merchants in the UK. Our developing E-commerce department (based at the largest branch in New Southgate) is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service, ensuring the customer experience is as smooth as possible, from the start of the order, to the point of delivery and beyond.

The role is focused on warehouse operations, order picking, packing, and ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Picking and Packing: Accurately picking and packing orders from different sections of the store, ensuring all items are correctly picked and packed according to high standards.
  • Labeling and Dispatch: Ensuring orders are labeled correctly and ready for dispatch, with a focus on smooth operation and efficiency.
  • Click & Collect Orders: Picking and preparing orders for customers to collect in-store.
  • Customer Interactions: Handling order-related queries through Zendesk and managing customer returns.
  • Manual Handling: Carrying out daily manual handling tasks, including lifting up to 30kg.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Warehouse Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse environment is an advantage, particularly if you've worked with forklifts or counterbalance machinery.
  • Organizational Skills: You should be able to prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring deadlines are met even under pressure.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for internal collaboration and dealing with customer inquiries.
  • Physical Capability: Capable of handling manual tasks and lifting up to 30kg safely.

Compensation:

  • Salary: From £13 an hour
  • Hours: 42.5 hours per week.
