Full job description

At Hilltop Honey, we're a team of honey heads obsessed with quality, and we're looking for a motivated Warehouse Operative to help keep our hive running smoothly. This is a temporary position with the potential to become a permanent role for the right person.

Based in our Newtown warehouse, you'll play a key role in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of stock across the business. From receiving deliveries and maintaining accurate stock records to supporting production and preparing orders for dispatch, you'll help keep everything organised, traceable, and flowing efficiently.

We're looking for someone who is reliable, responsible, and enjoys working as part of a team. You'll have a keen eye for detail, a commitment to safety, and a willingness to learn and grow alongside the business. Previous warehouse experience and forklift operation skills are desirable, but just as important is a positive attitude and a hands-on approach to getting the job done.

What you'll be doing:

  • Operating forklifts and Aisle Masters safely and responsibly
  • Booking in deliveries and maintaining full batch traceability
  • Storing stock accurately within the warehouse racking system
  • Picking stock for production and customer orders
  • Using and learning our warehouse scanning system for stock control, order picking, and stock taking
  • Preparing orders for delivery or collection in line with schedules
  • Ensuring all paperwork and labels are completed accurately before stock leaves site
  • Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Participating in training and development opportunities when required
  • Following company health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures
  • Maintaining warehouse security and protecting company stock
  • Supporting traffic management activities on site
  • Carrying out stock takes and location checks
  • Assisting with other warehouse duties as required
