Shipley Transport are currently looking for a Warehouse Fork Lift Driver to join our professional and ever growing warehouse team. We are looking for candidates who have a strong worth ethic and can work as part of a team.

The role is full time Monday to Friday with the rotating Saturday shift.

The hours are 1400hrs until 2200hrs. ( Till Finish)

The role will be temp to permanent after passing 3 month probation period.

An Aisle master (Pivot Steer/Bendi) is essential. Shunting of LGV & Trailers would be an advantage but not essential.

Experience Required:

Must hold an in-date Counterbalance Licence(RTITB, BRITOP or ITTSAR) Ideally hold a valid Pivot Steer (Bendi) Licence

  • Must Have Experience in general haulage.

Worked within a warehouse setting operating a Counterbalance Forklift and have a good eye for detail and can read and write in English.

The main duties of this role will be to support the PM shift along with you loading and unloading vehicles using counter balance fork trucks, to load containers with palletized freight as and when needed, to pick various orders for individual customers and ensure all paperwork is filled out correctly following company and customer procedures.

Important Duties Required:

Locate and label stock within the warehouse environments.

Stack products when required.

Pick customer orders.

Operating a Counterbalance FLT and safely load and unload vehicles in a busy logistics and distribution warehouse.

Moving pallets to and from the storage area.

Reporting and damages to racking or stock.

Working quickly and safely following company procedures Plus general warehouse duties as and when required during your daily tasks.

Clean as you go with a can do attitude.

To be considered for this role the successful applicant would be required of the following:

  • Hold current FLT licence.
  • Will be a hard working team member, will have a good knowledge of the general haulage industry and will be reliable and punctual.
  • Load and unload vehicles using counter balance fork trucks.
  • Load and unload containers as and when needed.
  • Load vehicles as per loading sheet.
  • Be available to cover other shift Holiday/Sick Cover.
  • Pick and pack as per customer orders.
  • Maintain a high level of Health & Safety whilst carrying out any tasks.

Points to consider:

  • Full uniform provided.
  • The shift that you will be covering will be 1400hrs - 2200hrs/Till finish pay through breaks with potential for overtime, you will also may be required to work a Saturday morning which is on a Rota with the rest of the team.
  • Minimum of 8 hours per shift.
  • Company pension contribution of 3%.
  • Paid weekly.

  • Can offer guaranteed 40/50 hours a week if desired.
