Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role involves various tasks related to materials handling, shipping and receiving, and maintaining an organised warehouse space. If you possess mechanical knowledge and experience in warehouse operations, we encourage you to apply.

Duties

  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring accurate handling of products.
  • Manage inventory using a warehouse management system to track stock levels.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including verifying shipments against packing lists.
  • Perform regular inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Engage in heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Internal sales and administrative duties
  • Hours of work 7.45am-5.00pm

Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable.
  • Clean driving licence required
  • Forklift licence is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems is an advantage.
  • Experience in construction or related fields is beneficial.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks consistently throughout shifts.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
