About the role

We are looking to strengthen our Production team with a Warehouse Operative who will be trained into a Chemical Process Operator position.

Shift pattern: 35 hours a week/ Monday to Friday/ 6:00am - 2:00pm (no weekend work)

You will initially support our warehouse operations while learning our processes, with the opportunity to progress into blending and working with our specialist chemical products.

What you’ll be doing initially:

  • Loading and unloading goods safely
  • Packing and labelling products
  • Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe
  • Supporting stock control and storage

Progression into the role:

As you develop, you will be trained in:

  • Blending chemical products to specification
  • Operating process plant equipment
  • Following detailed production processes safely and accurately

About you

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has previous warehouse or manufacturing experience
  • Is reliable and works well as part of a team
  • Has good attention to detail and can follow processes accurately

  • Is keen to learn and develop new skills

Experience working with chemicals is desirable but not essential — full training will be provided.

We are looking for someone with manufacturing/warehousing experience who is looking to learn about the Chemical Industry. Prior experience working with Chemicals would be a great advantage, but not a requirement. For this role you will need strong attention to detail and the ability to learn and follow procedures.

The role is physically demanding with manual lifting and working at heights.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the creation of products to specification and timescales provided by business requirements, assisting with stock management and storing as per instructions.
  • Performing all process plant operations according to working instructions in line with the company’s Health & Safety Policy.
  • Responsible for safety and security of the plant.
  • To meet customer requirements by receiving, moving, storing, picking, packing and dispatching products safely and efficiently.
  • To operate warehouse equipment (manual handling tools, pallet trucks, forklifts where licensed) in accordance with company procedures.
  • Work Collaboratively with the compliance team to ensure that product is manufactured, packaged and labelled according to agreed specifications and comply with relevant regulations.
  • To ensure all warehouse tasks are carried out in line with Health & Safety, quality standards, and operational procedures.
  • Work Collaboratively with the SHE team to highlight any potential risks and log them in an appropriate manner.

Requirements:

Essential

  • Counterbalance FLT licence
  • Good literacy and numeracy; comfortable recording production and stock data
  • Able to commute Monday–Friday for a 6:00–14:00 shift
  • Strong appreciation of health & safety and regulated work; willing to follow procedures meticulously

Desirable

  • Bendi/Pivot FLT licence/experience (conversion training available)
  • Previous chemical handling/manufacturing experience
  • Awareness of COSHH and documentation practices
