Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am - 4:00 pm (45-minute unpaid break)

Job Description:

The Panel Delivery Company (PDC) is looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our growing team in West Thurrock.

This is a busy, physical warehouse role where you'll be loading delivery vans, picking customer orders, unloading deliveries, and operating a forklift as part of a fast-paced operation.

Please note: This is a warehouse job opportunity. It is not an office-based role or a stepping stone into one.

We're looking for someone who enjoys warehouse work, takes pride in doing a job properly, and is happy working in a hands-on environment.

This is a physically demanding role.

Please only apply if you can meet the following requirements:

● Physically fit is a must

● Must be able to pick and slide boards up to 30kg unaided

● Picking loads can be the majority of the working day

● Work is outdoors in hot and cold conditions - must be able to adapt and overcome

What you'll be doing:

● Loading 20+ delivery vans each morning

● Picking and checking around 100 customer orders per day

● Operating a Counterbalance and/or Reach Forklift

● Completing daily forklift safety checks

● Unloading incoming lorries - typically around 5, but can be 10 or more

● Preparing stock for the day's operations

● Maintaining stock accuracy and warehouse housekeeping

● Assisting customers collecting materials from our yard

● Working safely as part of a busy warehouse team.

What we're looking for:

● Minimum two years' recent, regular forklift operating experience as part of your day-to-day role

● Accredited forklift training certificate (does not need to be in date as refresher training can be provided)

● Reliable with excellent timekeeping

● Able to work Monday to Friday from 6:00am

● Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment

● Strong attention to detail and able to work accurately under pressure

Shortlisted candidates will need to complete a short supervised forklift and picking assessment at the final stage.
