Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Kitchen Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, cooking and presentation with experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Applicants should be organised, attentive to food safety standards, and committed to maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to established recipes and standards
  • Assist in the organisation and management of daily food preparation tasks
  • Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
  • Assist with plating and presentation of dishes to meet quality standards
  • Support the team during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks
  • Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Experience

  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen setting is preferred
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
  • Experience in meal preparation and serving is advantageous
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • A genuine interest in cooking and continuous learning in the kitchen environment
