Role Overview

Due to business growth, we are hiring a 3.5 Ton Van Driver to join our team of logistics personnel starting at our head office based in Washington, Tyne & Wear.

The role is to deliver our products to our customers as directed by your daily schedule, you will carry out between 7 to 15 drops per day which will involve manual handling. You will be our face-to-face representative and must have a passion for great customer service.

The role comprises of driving to the delivery point, unloading the vehicle and completing company documents to reflect upon delivery being carried out. A good knowledge of completing paperwork and electronic devices / software experience would benefit the applicant, however full training will be given on our company processes.

The role involves early starts, as early as 3am. This is a single manned role. Due to the nature of the products that you will be delivering, it is important that you understand you are not able to clock off until all products have been dropped off.

Our customers are based throughout the UK and applicants must have experience of carrying out driving duties outside of the North East.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years driving experience within a professional capacity.
  • Maximum 6 points on licence.
  • ADR license (Desirable).
  • Experience of driving UK wide is essential.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Knowledge and experience with multi drop deliveries of medium sized manufactured items.
  • Vehicle knowledge to carry out daily checks and comply with legal requirements within your license category.
  • Good communication and administration skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and professionalism.
  • Physically fit due to the nature of the role you will carry out manual handling duties on a daily basis.
  • A flexible can do attitude to work.
