Operations Support Manager | East Sussex
£36K + Bonus + Mileage
Are you the exceptional Operations Support Manager we are looking for?
We’re seeking an experienced, commercially astute Operations Support Manager to work in partnership with the Operations Manager, supporting service delivery across our education catering sites and ensuring an excellent experience for our school customers.This is a fantastic opportunity to drive operational excellence, and support our teams in delivering fresh, nutritious, and high-quality food experiences to schools and communities.
The role will be based in and around the East Sussex area.
You should have a genuine passion for food, excellent people skills, and a strong understanding of food safety and health & safety standards, along with experience in budgeting, financial control, waste management, and stock control. You must be flexible and comfortable with travelling to different schools weekly and occasionally daily with last minute diary changes. There will be times when support might include covering the Chef Manager, and therefore the ideal candidate must have a background as a Chef and be willing to cover sites as needed. A full UK driving licence and own transport are required due to the regional nature of the role, which involves regular travel between multiple sites.

As our ideal Operations Support Manager you will:-
- Have experience in a similar role and a proven track record of continually improving standards
- Have good communication skills at all levels
- Be passionate about food, drive quality and ensure innovation
- Have a proven track record of leading and motivating a team
- Have the ability to support all Health & Safety and Food Safety tasks
- Have financial and budget awareness with good understanding of GP calculation
- Have excellent IT skills
- Have craft-based cooking skills
- Have a full UK driving license and own vehicle
