We are now seeking an experienced and enthusiastic General Manager to support leading and inspiring our team in our exciting new Goodness Restaurant in Trago Mills Newton Abbot. This is a full-time role for 39 hours per week and is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

Our restaurant is open every day of the week from 9am-4pm, however working hours for the role are 8am-5pm. The ideal candidate will be available to work flexible hours, across all seven days including weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Standards: Ensure hygiene and food safety compliance, achieving an EHO rating of 5. Complete risk assessments and internal audits (health, safety, fire, brand standards).
• Leadership: Lead team through product launches and new initiatives. Stay competitive by monitoring local trends.
• Sales & Performance: Meet/exceed targets for sales, waste, wages, and profitability. Manage business performance proactively.
• People Management: Recruit, develop, and retain staff. Lead multiple shift teams to achieve performance goals through effective communication and motivation.
• Product Management: Ensure engaging product displays and availability. Support product knowledge for upselling and customer service.
• Customer Service: Manage customer demand, deliver top-notch service, handle complaints, and provide continuous service training.

Requirements:

• Previous supervisory/management experience.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• The ability to monitor, manage and improve KPIs.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
