Full job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of a cook to join the Bakehouse Kitchen café, based at UpCountry Garden Centre, preparing food to the highest standards. This role is suitable for a focused individual who can work in a fast paced environment. You will report to the Bakehouse Kitchen Manager & focus on delivering the daily tasks set out by the in-house Manager.

Main Duties:

● Food preparation - ensuring kitchen ingredients are prepared in advance of service.

● Food service - ensure food service is conducted in an orderly manner with the highest

levels of quality. This is all to be achieved in a timely manner.

● Site cleanliness/Standards - ensuring that the cafe confirms to the exceptional

standards needed to give a customer experience that is second to none.

● Product presentation - Food presentation should be creative and appealing to the eye.

This is a key area that should differentiate us from our competitors.

● Waste/loss management - Minimise food waste through date control and management.

● Customer Service - take an active role with customers as the cafe is an open kitchen

environment.

● All food safety requirements should be met and ensure we hit a 5-star food safety

grade.

Salary: Up to £25,000.00 per year

Hours of Work:

● 40 hours a week

● 8 hour shift - no evenings

● Alternate weekends off

Experience:

● Kitchen: 2 years (preferred but not essential)
