We are a growing and ambitious waste management company specialising in skip hire, van waste removal, rubbish clearance, and recycling services across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. We are committed to responsible waste disposal, sustainability, and maximising recycling rates while delivering outstanding customer service.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to help expand our customer base and strengthen relationships within the waste and recycling industry.

The Role

We are seeking a driven and results-focused Business Development Manager to generate new business opportunities and grow revenue across our recycling and waste management services.

You will be responsible for identifying and developing new commercial relationships, winning contracts, and promoting our skip hire, waste collection, rubbish removal, and recycling solutions to businesses, construction companies, housing associations, local authorities, and commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within the waste management and recycling sector
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial customers and partners
  • Generate leads and convert them into long-term business contracts
  • Promote our services including: Skip Hire, Van Waste & Rubbish Removal, Commercial Waste Collection, Demolitions, Site Clearance Services
  • Conduct client meetings, site visits, and prepare quotations/proposals
  • Develop strategic sales plans to increase revenue and market share
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements
  • Work closely with operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity
  • Achieve agreed sales targets

Requirements

Essential:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and commercially minded
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable:

  • Experience in the waste management, recycling, skip hire, construction, aggregates, or environmental services industry
  • Existing network of commercial contacts
  • Knowledge of waste regulations and recycling processes

Ideal Candidate

You are a confident, proactive, and ambitious sales professional who understands how to build relationships and win new business. Experience in the waste, recycling, skip hire, or environmental sector would be a strong advantage, but we also welcome applicants from construction, logistics, facilities management, or related industries.

Pay: £24,599.96-£46,999.96 per year
