Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Timber Frame Builder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in timber frame construction, excellent carpentry skills, and a keen eye for detail. As a Timber Frame Builder, you will be responsible for constructing, erecting, and installing timber-framed structures, ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timber Frame Construction: Build and assemble timber frame buildings, including gazebos, pergolas, barns, and other styles of timber frame buildings, according to plans and specifications.
  • Carpentry: Perform all aspects of carpentry work related to timber framing, including cutting, shaping, and fitting timber components.
  • Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate construction.
  • Tool and Equipment Use: Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently, maintaining tools in good working condition.
  • Quality Control: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and project requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including engineers, and sawmill staff, to ensure project success.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during construction promptly and effectively.
  • Material Management: Coordinate the delivery, storage, and handling of materials to minimise waste and ensure project efficiency.


  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in timber frame construction or related carpentry

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
