Build and maintain strong, senior-level relationships with key construction clients, ensuring repeat business, long-term partnerships, and high client satisfaction

Job Title: Customer Success Manager – Construction Welfare

Location: Full Time Office-Based with limited travel and Elements of Flexible Working (Events & Trade Shows)

Reporting To: Head of Construction

Role Purpose:

The Customer Success Manager – Construction is responsible for driving customer satisfaction, retention, and account growth across Site-Equip’s construction client base. This senior role also includes direct line management of the construction sales team, ensuring administrative compliance, performance against KPIs, and a strong customer-first culture. You will act as the strategic bridge between clients and internal teams, providing both commercial success and seamless service delivery across key accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Success:

Account Management & Retention

  • Build and maintain strong, senior-level relationships with key construction clients, ensuring repeat business, long-term partnerships, and high client satisfaction.

Customer Onboarding & Site Integration

  • Oversee smooth onboarding of new construction clients, ensuring they understand service expectations, unit types, servicing schedules, and escalation routes.

Service Growth & Value Realisation

  • Identify and develop opportunities to expand service usage, including welfare units, waste removal, mobile servicing, and winter-ready solutions.

Site Engagement & Strategic Reviews

  • Conduct regular account reviews and site visits to evaluate service quality, gather feedback, and proactively offer value-added solutions.

Client Reporting & Insight

  • Provide data-led insights to clients, including utilisation trends, seasonal planning, and opportunities for efficiency or cost savings.

Internal Collaboration & Issue Resolution

  • Work with Transport, Yard, and Finance teams to ensure service issues are addressed quickly and contract terms are met.

Voice of the Customer

  • Collect and share client feedback to support the continuous improvement of products, services, and processes.

Sales Team Leadership & Admin Compliance:

Line Management

  • Directly manage the construction sales team, providing regular 1-1s, support, guidance, and coaching to drive individual and team success.

Performance Management

  • Set clear KPIs, targets, and behavioural expectations, ensuring the team meets commercial and service delivery standards.

Sales Process Compliance

  • Ensure all team members are accurately and consistently using CRM tools (e.g., Syrinx), completing paperwork, loading jobs correctly, and updating pipeline data in real time.

Training & Development

  • Identify skills gaps and deliver structured training and onboarding for new hires. Promote professional growth and internal progression.

Sales Meeting Management

  • Lead weekly sales meetings to review performance, pipeline, challenges, and client escalations. Track actions to resolution.

Process Adherence

  • Ensure all quotes, customer records, call logs, pricing and terms are recorded in line with company procedures and GDPR compliance.

Cross-Team Coordination

  • Liaise with marketing to align on lead generation and campaign follow-ups; collaborate with operations to maintain a clear handover process.

Person Specification:

  • 3+ years in a customer success, account management, or sales leadership role within. Hire Industry experience is desirable.
  • Proven track record of growing and retaining strategic client relationships in the construction industry.
  • Strong team leadership experience, with the ability to coach, guide, and manage the performance of others.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and enforce compliance with sales processes and administrative accuracy.
  • Comfortable leading conversations with directors, procurement leads, and site managers in major construction businesses.
  • Skilled communicator with strong commercial acumen, able to balance client satisfaction with business priorities.
  • Competent with CRM systems (e.g., Syrinx or similar) and confident in analysing pipeline and account data.
  • Professional presence on LinkedIn and active engagement with construction industry networks.
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to client sites and depots as required.

Salary & Benefits:

Base Salary: £32,000–£36,000 (depending on experience)

On-Target Earnings: Up to £40,000 through performance-based bonus
