A vacancy has become available for a Yard Operative, who will play a key role in the smooth and efficient running of the yard.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining an organized, tidy, and clean yard.
  • Unloading and taking receipt of goods, and loading machinery and equipment for delivery.
  • Transporting and moving machinery and equipment into and out of the factory.
  • Assisting with loading and unloading in the Paint Shop.
  • Maintaining machinery and equipment, and carrying out small repairs where necessary.
  • Complying with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Adhering to the ISO9001 quality management system.

The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys working in a busy environment with varied responsibilities; does not mind working outdoors in all conditions; is a team player; and is a self-starter who can prioritize, plan, and manage their workload with minimal supervision. Experience in a similar role would be preferable.

Due to fluctuating operational demands, it will be necessary to work overtime and/or weekends when required. Where normal working hours are exceeded, the applicable overtime for Monday to Saturday is 1.2x basic hourly rate, and 1.4x basic hourly rate on a Sunday.

Licences/Certification :

  • Valid UK Driving Licence (required).
  • Forklift Licence (Preferable, but full training will be provided to the successful candidate).

Must be resident in the UK and have the right to live and work in the UK without the need for VISA sponsorship.
