Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Site Porter to join our facilities team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation across our premises, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in commercial cleaning or janitorial work to contribute to a professional setting. The Site Porter will play a vital part in supporting the smooth operation of our site through effective cleaning, waste management, and general upkeep.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning duties across various areas of the site, including offices, corridors, and communal spaces
  • Manage waste disposal efficiently, ensuring bins are emptied and areas remain tidy
  • Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and report needs for replenishment
  • Assist with setting up and clearing event spaces or meeting rooms as required
  • Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to during all cleaning activities
  • Report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly to the appropriate department
  • Support with light manual handling tasks such as moving furniture or equipment when necessary

Experience

  • Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred
  • Familiarity with cleaning equipment and chemicals is advantageous
  • Organised with excellent attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions effectively
  • Good organisational skills and reliability are essential for this role
