The Role:

We are looking to recruit a Recycling Operative to join our established team based at our site in Hitchin. This is an exciting opportunity to join us in a period of significant change and be part of the next chapter in this well-established Recycling Business.

What you will be doing:

  • Liaising with other teams efficiently
  • Operating plant and equipment (if qualified)
  • Ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately
  • Maintaining all plant and equipment as well as reporting any faults or defects immediately
  • FLT duties
  • Working outdoors
  • Manual work with heavy lifting involved
  • Working closely with others, ensuring good communication and following instructions
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental and health and safety policy and rules
  • Maintaining good housekeeping practices ensuring area is always clean and tidy
  • Plus any ad-hoc duties

The ideal candidate:

  • Previous experience in vehicle mechanics – nice to have
  • Confident in dealing with a wide variety of car makes and models
  • Enjoys working outdoors in a busy environment
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic and demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Health and Safety conscious
