Urgently Hiring Experienced F&B Staff – Hornsbury Mill Hotel, Chard, Somerset

Hornsbury Mill is a beautiful Grade II-listed historic watermill set in five acres of stunning landscaped gardens with a lake and fountains in the heart of the Somerset countryside.

We’re looking for experienced Food & Beverage / Front of House staff to join our team and help deliver our famous “Hornsbury Hug” — warm, confident, and genuinely caring hospitality that makes every guest feel special.

Over the past several months we have entered an exciting new chapter with fresh energy and a renewed commitment to exceptional dining and service. Whether you’re serving in our Wheel Room restaurant, looking after wedding guests, or working on private events and functions, you’ll play a key role in creating memorable experiences in one of Somerset’s most picturesque venues.

About the Role
You will be part of a vibrant front-of-house team delivering warm and professional service across:

  • Restaurant and bar service
  • Weddings and private events
  • Sunday lunches and special functions

We’re seeking people who take pride in their work and genuinely enjoy creating outstanding guest experiences in a busy but supportive environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or events venue (wedding or function experience is a big advantage)
  • Confident, warm, and professional communication skills
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently during busy periods
  • Flexibility with shifts — including evenings, weekends, and event days
  • A positive, can-do attitude and strong team player
