Castell Howell Foods is Wales’ leading independent food service wholesaler, servicing the length and breadth of Wales, the Border Counties and the South West of England. We currently have a vacancy for a Warehouse & Till Operative based at our Cash & Carry in Carmarthen.The role of a Warehouse & Till Operative is to assist customers in the store, serve at checkouts, maintain well stocked shelves and maintain a clean, tidy and safe environment.Duties include:Replenish the warehouse as required, ensure stock is always available for customers and pickersComplete daily records and reports accuratelyEnsure customers’ orders are scanned and picked promptly and accuratelyAssist customers around the storeServe customers on the checkouts promptly and accuratelyRotating stock and check ‘best before’ datesOperate a fork lift truck (if applicable)Clean and maintain the warehouse in accordance with Health & Safety guidelinesAssist in stock taking duties when required Who are we looking for:A team player who can also work independently when requiredSomeone who demonstrates attention to detailNo previous experience is required as full training will be providedYou should consider yourself physically fitHave basic literacy and numeracy skillsBe prepared to work in a cold store at -20 (full protective equipment is provided)What we offer:A full-time position contracted to 41 hours per week. Monday to Friday 08:30-17:30. Plus, 1 in 3 weeks you will work until 19:30 on Monday and Thursday + Saturday 8.30-12:30 and Sunday 09:30-12:30. You will work 4 days the following week.Competitive salary 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
