Wanted – an experienced client facing front-end web developer to join our Digital Team.
About us
This is a unique opportunity to join Production bureau Ltd which is a thriving creative production agency based in Norwich celebrating over 35 years in business. With three offices in the UK, two in Norwich and one in Edinburgh employing circa 100+ staff, we continue to successfully deliver creative communications projects all over the globe for some of the most respected companies across multiple sectors.
The role
As we continue to deliver exceptional communication solutions for our clients, we are looking for a proactive Web Developer to join the Digital team. It is a fascinating, demanding, and varied role which will provide day to day support to the Head of Digital, Creative Technology Lead, Digital Producers and our clients. The Digital Team create, manage and deliver digital projects that include virtual and hybrid events, digital aspects of live events, microsites, website and various digital engagement solutions.
We are looking for an experienced individual from a web development background who has the technical and creative skills to bring our client’s requirements to life. You will possess excellent client facing skills and be a confident communicator used to liaising with a wide range of both external and internal stakeholders to identify potential solutions for client requests/briefs as well as supporting existing client websites with regular updates, improvements, and SEO information. As part of this role, you will have to provide technical support for web-based solutions during live events and exhibitions.
You will have excellent knowledge of a range of coding languages (such as flat HTML 5, CSS and JavaScript) to support the delivery of a wide range of client Microsites which form part of our virtual event offering. You will be keen to develop the microsites offering further to ensure that we are producing relevant and visually pleasing content for our clients and their attendees.
As we continue to enhance our own online presence and drive business growth, part of the role will involve building and maintaining Pb’s own website. The main focus will be on ensuring that Pb can extract performance-based information and feedback more readily as well as drive traffic and growth with organic enquiries.
The successful candidate will be a proactive and possess a passion for all things web and digital and will ideally have experience of working within a creative production agency. You will be used to working to deadlines and across multiple projects. Knowledge of supporting and collaborating across projects is essential.
The person
- Proficient in Windows PC/Apple Mac
- Good knowledge of Office 365 and the Adobe suite of applications
- Proven knowledge of a range of coding languages (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and PHP).
- Excellent understanding of web and digital.
- Skilled in website and UX design, with experience and/or qualification in relevant disciplines.
- Proven skillset in designing, building, and deploying websites using WordPress.
- Ability to design, code, manage and modify websites, including microsites, landing pages, touchscreen interfaces.
- Website maintenance and optimisation, including SEO, meta tags, and alt text, backlinking, content optimisation, and use of tools such as Google Analytics and Ahrefs.
- Front end development experience. Implementing creative UI/UX designs across a range of project types.
- Ability to provide technical support for web-based solutions during live events and exhibitions including interactive solutions such as live polling, Q & A, surveys, and forms.
- Experience of working and communicating directly with end clients on creative projects.
- Comfortable under pressure and working to deadlines.
- A flexible self-starter with plenty of initiative
- An awareness and understanding of providing solutions that adhere to GDPR and Data Governance as well as best practices in accordance with the OWASP foundation.
- A genuine interest in creative engagement, live & virtual events, and exhibitions.
