LightMedia is looking for an experienced developer (2+ YoE) to help grow our talented, award-winning development team.

We are a rapidly expanding web consultancy and digital media house based in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. Having recently moved to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) model, similar to that of John Lewis, where the business is owned by and run for the benefit of our employees, you would after a 6-month qualifying period have an equal share of the company profits.

Responsibilities

Your role would be to develop bespoke systems for our clients using web technologies as well as supporting and enhancing our existing sites. This will include planning and implementing solutions from provided functional specifications and visual designs, by adapting and extending our in-house, award-winning CMS and CRM framework to fit each client's unique business requirements.

You'll have the chance to work across all parts of our technology stack; including front-end layout and scripting, back-end business logic and integrations with third-party systems, and database design. To help you with this, you'll receive coaching and support from the rest of our experienced technical team.

Our existing solutions are built in ASP.NET Web Forms, however we're currently in the process of moving to the latest .NET. We use Microsoft Azure as our hosting platform.

We have a hybrid working model, where the team work from our Leamington Spa offices on Tuesdays and Thursdays and remotely the rest of the time. This lets us provide the benefits of home-working while also giving our newer developers a chance to observe and work side-by-side with our seniors.

You will need to have experience of the following:

• Working in C# .NET in a web context.
• Creating, modifying and supporting databases in MS SQL Server.
• Using Entity Framework.
• Front-end web technologies including CSS and JavaScript.

Knowledge of any of the below technologies would be a big advantage:

• ASP.NET Web Forms (alternative versions .NET MVC, Core etc would be considered)
• .NET 6/9 (Razor Pages)
• Vue JS
• Typescript

You’ll need to have at least 2/3 years of commercial web development experience to be considered for this position. You'll also have a thirst for technical problem solving and a willingness to learn new skills.
