Cladco Profiles is a family-run business that has expanded over the past 50 years to become the UK’s Leading Supplier of Roofing Sheets and Composite Decking. Based in the South West, Cladco Profiles offers a unique and exciting place to work.

Outline of the Position

At our head office in Okehampton, Devon, we seek a new member for our dynamic Marketing Department. The successful candidate will develop and maintain our ecommerce websites, ensuring continued revenue growth in a rapidly expanding market. This role requires a motivated, hands-on developer with strong web development skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with designers, marketers, content writers, and external agencies.

Your primary responsibility will be to maintain the highest standards for our ecommerce websites' content, functionality, and performance, aligning with the marketing objectives set by the Marketing Manager. You will work closely with our Marketing Manager and internal Content and Design teams, requiring excellent communication skills. You will also manage the day-to-day relationship with our external Digital Marketing Agency, ensuring their back-end development supports and complements the front-end content and functionality.

Full training will be provided where needed. This is a full-time, in-house role based at our head office in Okehampton, Devon.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to our Marketing Manager, you will specialise in the technical responsibilities that come with managing and maintaining high revenue-generating ecommerce websites, which includes but not limited to:

Content – Development and uploading of pages using written content and imagery from the Marketing Department, ensuring consistency of design and functionality on both Desktop and Mobile viewports.

Products – Uploading and maintenance of ecommerce product ranges throughout the websites, ensuring that pricing, stock thresholds, product variants, delivery options, up-sells, and cross-sells are accurate at all times.

Functionality – UX and performance are key to the continued success of our ecommerce websites. All aspects of the websites should function as expected with the customer's online shopping experience always at the forefront to help drive the sales conversion rate.

Auditing – Regular testing and analysis to ensure the functionality and performance of the websites are where they should be and identifying areas for improvement where applicable.

3rd Party Channels – Working with our Technical Department and Digital Marketing Agency to ensure successful onboarding of selling channels such as eBay, Facebook, Amazon Marketplace, B&Q etc.

SEO – Working closely with our SEO manager to ensure SEO practices are carried out and maintained with all digital updates.

Essential Skills

At least 2 years of experience in working on a successful ecommerce platform.

At least 2 years of experience using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in a business environment.

Experience with UAT workflow and prioritising tasks.

A passion for UX design.

Outstanding communication with strong written and verbal skills.

Ability to work on multiple tasks and projects at any one time.

Able to work effectively using own initiative and as part of a team.

Full, clean UK driving license and willing to occasionally drive and travel between sites.

Desirable Skills

Broad understanding of website infrastructure and hosting architecture.

Good grasp of the importance of a successful ecommerce platform in a rapidly growing business.

Exposure to the Magento 2 ecommerce platform.

An understanding of the impact of SEO for an ecommerce website.

Experience in design patterns and use of concept tools such as Figma.
