ABOUT THE ROLE:

With an expanding Digital Media team, Numatic International (the people behind the iconic Henry Vacuum Cleaner) are

looking for a creative and detail-oriented WordPress Web Designer to help us elevate our online presence and deliver a

seamless digital experience to our customers. Working across multiple projects, you will be responsible for designing,

developing & maintaining visually appealing and user-friendly WordPress websites. We are a friendly and collaborative,

multi-disciplinary team working within a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a fresh thinking designer

to really make their mark within a global company.

As an integral part of an established Marketing & Communications department, you will work closely with internal teams on

full design and build projects to create responsive web designs over several corporate & retail websites all the way from brief

to launch. You will be required to conduct market research and analyse trends to develop marketing campaigns to effectively

promote our products and services. Extensive experience working on WordPress websites is essential. The ideal candidate

will have whole site management including hosting/database management, SEO + speed optimization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work within brand guidelines to design and develop responsive WordPress websites that are visually appealing and

user-friendly.

  • Collaborate with internal & external teams within retail & commercial sectors to ensure channel specific briefs are

fulfilled.

  • Stay up to date with digital trends & technologies.
  • Edit photography for use in digital campaigns and optimise for online use.
  • Create vector-based designs for web use.
  • Design high performing email campaigns within online marketing platforms, using analytics to adjust based on data

insights.

  • Utilise industry best practices ensuring factors such as SEO, mobile-first design and accessibility are always

considered.

  • Manage and maintain several WordPress & Magento websites, actioning theme, plugin & extension updates.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Extensive WordPress experience essential + Magento (Adobe Commerce) experience preferred.
  • Excellent Adobe Creative Cloud skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, InDesign).
  • Must have extensive WordPress experience including: Hosting management (cPanel, phpMyAdmin, File

Management- FTP), WordPress installation.

  • Experience in project management, multi-tasking and decision making.
  • Knowledge of marketing and design strategies, channels, and branding.
  • Good working knowledge of CSS & HTML.
  • eCommerce management experience using WooCommerce + Magento (Adobe Commerce)
  • SEO experience: Keyword planning & management and GA4 + Search Console.
  • Experience of effectively interacting with external stakeholders, across disciplines and teams.
  • Updating Themes & Plugins, Content creation & management and Designing hero/landing/product pages from

scratch (experience using page builders accepted).

  • Strong IT skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
