Full job description

We are hiring on behalf of a digital marketing agency to find a creative and skilled UX/UI Designer to join our innovative team at a rapidly expanding marketing agency. This critical role is designed for someone with a passion for crafting engaging and intuitive user experiences. You’ll collaborate closely with developers and product managers, applying your expertise to shape user-friendly designs and enhance overall user satisfaction. This position is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented professional eager to influence our product offerings and contribute to our strategic design initiatives. Here, you'll have the opportunity to refine your skills in a dynamic, hands-on environment, focusing on impactful design solutions and user-centric strategies.

Key Responsibilities

User Experience Design - Create user-centred designs by understanding business requirements, and user feedback, and incorporating usability findings into the design.

User Interface Design - Develop high-fidelity visual designs, prototypes, and wireframes for digital products such as websites, mobile apps, and interactive displays.

Collaboration - Work closely with product managers, developers, and other designers to ensure a cohesive design aesthetic and to maintain consistency across the digital platforms.

User Testing - Conduct user testing to gather feedback and refine designs, ensuring the end products are both functional and user-friendly.

Design Strategy -Participate in strategic discussions about brand experience, user experience, and the implementation of various design methodologies.

Research - Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies. Conduct competitor and market analysis to inform design decisions.

Brand Development - Help maintain brand consistency throughout all our marketing projects, from detailed design to brand strategies.

Prototyping - Develop prototypes to visualise designs and to test usability issues ahead of production.

Feedback Implementation - Iterate designs based on user feedback and analytics to enhance usability and effectiveness.

Desired Qualities

Proven Expertise in Digital Advertising Tools - Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Meta Ads and Google Ads, demonstrating a strong ability to design compelling digital advertising interfaces that optimise user engagement and conversion rates.

Experience Managing Substantial Ad Budgets - Ideal candidates will have a history of effectively managing large advertising budgets, preferably with annual accounts exceeding £1,000,000. This includes strategising and optimising spending to achieve the best possible returns and demonstrating a keen understanding of cost-efficiency and financial accountability in digital marketing campaigns.

Analytical Mindset with a Metrics-Driven Approach - We value designers who bring a strong analytical perspective to their work, using data to inform design decisions and measure the effectiveness of their projects. Applicants should be adept at utilising analytics tools to gauge user engagement and iteratively improve the user experience based on solid metrics.

Creative Thinking and Innovative Problem-Solving - Creativity is at the heart of this role. Candidates should excel in thinking outside the box, identifying new opportunities for design innovation, and solving user experience challenges in unique and effective ways. This includes a continuous pursuit of emerging design trends and technologies that could enhance the effectiveness of our digital platforms.

Strong Visual and Interactive Design Skills - A keen eye for aesthetics and a hands-on approach to crafting user interfaces that are not only visually appealing but also highly functional. Candidates should demonstrate a portfolio of design work that showcases a deep understanding of colour theory, typography, and visual hierarchy.

User-Centric Design Philosophy - Commitment to creating intuitive and accessible designs that cater to the needs of diverse user bases. This includes a thorough understanding of user-centred design principles and a track record of delivering projects that enhance user satisfaction and accessibility.

Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills - Given the cross-functional nature of design projects, candidates must be effective communicators, capable of articulating design concepts and rationales to team members across different departments, including marketing, product management, and development teams.

Adaptability and Learning Agility - The digital landscape is ever-evolving, and so is the role of a UX/UI designer. Candidates should show adaptability and eagerness to stay ahead of industry changes, continuously updating their skills and knowledge to maintain cutting-edge design solutions.
