About 87Marketing

87Marketing is a small digital marketing agency based in Leicestershire. We work with clients across different sectors, predominantly hotels, restaurants and hospitality businesses, providing WordPress websites, email marketing, SEO, creative design and ongoing digital support.

We work closely with our clients as an extension of their teams, with a focus on friendly service, quick responses and careful attention to detail.

The role

We’re looking for an organised, reliable Web & Digital Marketing Executive to help deliver day-to-day website and digital marketing work for our clients and 87Marketing.

You’ll work directly with the Director, focusing primarily on WordPress website administration, content updates and email marketing, alongside social media content preparation and scheduling.

We’re looking for someone who can take a brief, ask sensible questions and carry work through to completion. As you become familiar with our clients and processes, you’ll take increasing ownership of routine requests, recurring tasks and campaign delivery, with support and agreed approval processes.

Key responsibilities

WordPress websites and content

  • Update and build pages in WordPress using Divi or similar page builders, creating clear layouts that work on desktop and mobile.
  • Maintain offers, events, menus and seasonal content, tracking expiry dates and updating or removing information when required.
  • Check links, forms, images and page layouts before publishing.
  • Support new website builds and launches, including adding content and checking pages.
  • Carry out routine website maintenance using our established processes, including backups, updates and checks, escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Support basic on-page SEO, including page titles, descriptions, headings, internal links and image optimisation.

Email marketing

  • Build, check and schedule email campaigns in Mailchimp or similar platforms using client briefs and brand templates.
  • Adapt and proofread copy, prepare images and check links, audience selections and test emails before approval.
  • Maintain campaign schedules and follow up on missing information, assets or approvals.
  • Prepare clear campaign reports and suggest practical improvements based on results.

Creative and social media support

  • Write and adapt social media copy using agreed campaign plans, existing content and information supplied by clients.
  • Prepare and edit images, schedule posts and check published content across client and 87Marketing social media accounts.
  • Create and adapt straightforward digital and print artwork using existing brand guidelines and templates.

Client communication and organisation

  • Acknowledge and manage routine client requests during agreed working hours, keeping clients and the Director informed of progress.
  • Prioritise work across several clients, maintain task records and record time accurately.
  • Ask for clarification when needed, flag competing deadlines early and follow agreed approval processes.
  • Maintain clear notes and handovers so work can continue smoothly during absences.

Essential skills and experience

  • Practical experience updating and managing WordPress websites, with confidence using Divi or a similar page builder.
  • Experience building email marketing campaigns in Mailchimp or a similar platform.
  • Good written English, with the ability to adapt copy and spot spelling, grammar and factual inconsistencies.
  • Experience preparing and editing images in Adobe Photoshop or comparable software.
  • Strong attention to detail and a habit of checking work before it is published or sent.
  • The ability to organise competing tasks, work independently remotely and communicate clearly with clients and colleagues.
  • A reliable, proactive approach and confidence asking questions or raising issues when needed.

Useful additional experience

  • Divi, Advanced Custom Fields and WordPress website builds.
  • Adobe InDesign and designing print materials.
  • Website hosting, migrations, backups and troubleshooting.
  • Google Analytics 4, Search Console and on-page SEO.
  • Preparing and scheduling social media content across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, ideally using a tool such as Metricool.

You do not need to be an expert in every area. Strong WordPress and email delivery skills, good judgement and a willingness to learn are the priorities. Training will be provided on our clients, tools and ways of working.

What we offer

  • 22 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, pro rata for part-time hours.
  • Workplace pension with employer contributions.
  • A company laptop and the software needed for the role.
  • Training and support on our systems, clients and ways of working.
  • Direct support from the business owner and the opportunity to take increasing responsibility.
  • Varied work across a range of clients.

How to apply

Please apply through Indeed with your CV and a short introduction explaining your interest in the role and your preferred working pattern.

Please include examples or links to WordPress websites or email campaigns you have worked on, where available, and briefly explain your contribution to each.
