Initially, this role will be remote, but will switch to Hybrid working once the new office is Open (city-centre).

Therefore applicants who are not able to commit to a hybrid working model (3 days onsite in the Manchester office) need not apply.

  • Fixed Income Technology is responsible for delivering state of the art technology solutions to the Fixed Income business. Initiatives includes deliveries across sales, risk, pricing, algorithmic trading, execution, trade processing, and much more.

What you will do

  • We are looking for talented and passionate web developers to continue to evolve our next-generation trading application.
  • The role requires a detailed understanding of software design/best practices along with a strong technical ability.
  • This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to work on high profile trading application. The team works closely with end users gaining direct exposure to the fast-paced world of front office trading and finance.

Key duties / Role Responsibilities

  • Design and Develop the flagship “Trader Desktop” platform that delivers next-generation functionality to Citi’s traders.
  • Develop efficient and robust solutions to challenging business problems.
  • Work on a globally distributed team to deliver the next generation UI experience for traders at Citi.
  • Gain knowledge and exposure to Front Office Trading Systems, Fixed Income, and Derivatives flows.
  • Working directly with end users on requirements analysis and capture
  • Troubleshooting challenging performance and scalability issues
  • Assisting in third line support during core trading hours and Production issues as needed
  • Enhancing our automated testing efforts and optimizing our UAT process


Essential Technical skills required

  • Proven experience in developing large-scale enterprise applications
  • Experience using Angular 14.0+, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, SAAS/LESS
  • Experience with Reactive programming paradigms (RxJS and NgRx)
  • Experience with writing unit tests for Angular/Typescript
  • Experience with consuming JSON based data from REST services
  • Experience with build pipelines (TeamCity, Jenkins, etc.) and cloud native build/hosting pipelines (OpenShift, Harness, Tekton)

Bonus points for

  • Experience using Angular grid libraries (ag-Grid)
  • Experience with web-based data visualization utilizing Angular/JavaScript HighCharts charting library.
  • Experience with building cross-platform applications using Web technologies such as Electron, Chromium, WebView2 etc.
  • Experience with C#/.NET/WPF and object-oriented programming
  • Experience with writing unit tests for C#/.NET (NUnit/MSTest/SpecFlow etc.)
  • Experience with Rx extensions (.NET)
  • Knowledge of any Fixed income products i.e. Government Bonds, Interest Rates or Futures financial products (e.g. EuroGovies/Swaps).

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
