Web Developer & Online Marketeer

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our Emergency Group as a Web Developer & Online Marketeer. Based in Swadlincote, Derbyshire, you will play a crucial role in the development, maintenance, and digital marketing of our online platforms.

Our company specializes in life-saving and emergency equipment, including evacuation chairs and defibrillators, and operates across multiple brands. You will be responsible for ensuring our websites are technically robust, optimized for search engines, and drive online sales.

This role is ideal for a tech-savvy and creative individual who can balance web development, e-commerce management, and digital marketing to enhance our online presence and customer engagement.

Responsibilities Web Development & E-commerce

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize WordPress and WooCommerce websites.
  • Code, test, and debug websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Ensure websites are responsive, fast-loading, and SEO-friendly.
  • Implement website updates, security patches, and performance improvements.
  • Work on e-commerce integrations, payment gateways, and third-party plugins.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure seamless user experiences.
  • Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and design teams to enhance website functionality and branding.
  • Keep up to date with the latest web development trends and technologies.

Digital Marketing & Online Growth

  • Develop and execute SEO strategies to increase organic traffic.
  • Run and monitor PPC advertising campaigns (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, etc.).
  • Create and manage email marketing campaigns to engage customers.
  • Analyze website and campaign performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other tools.
  • Optimize product listings and landing pages for better engagement and conversions.
  • Manage and grow social media presence across various platforms.
  • Create engaging digital content, including banners, ads, and product pages.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in WordPress and WooCommerce development.
  • Strong coding skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices, web performance optimization, and website security.
  • Experience with digital marketing tools such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and email automation platforms.
  • Ability to manage e-commerce platforms and product databases.
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Design skills (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Figma) are an advantage.
  • Must be located near Swadlincote, Derbyshire.
