Full job description

WDC Creative is a full-service design consultancy based in Manchester, specialising in interior design for retail and leisure clients via its WDC Spaces brand and creating branding, graphics, digital and marketing for B2B clients through WDC Brands. The focus throughout is on delivering quality, creativity, and added value to our clients. We are dedicated to creating inspiring spaces, engaging branding, and user-centric digital touchpoints, always keeping sustainability and our environmental impact front of mind.

We’re now looking for an experienced graphic designer to join our team - initially for 12 weeks but with the potential for this to become a permanent position. This is a full-time role working out of our office in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. It would suit someone who is keen to grow their skills, learning from our experienced designers.

Experience of B2B design projects is essential and sharing our beliefs in sustainability would be a big advantage.

The role:

This will include the following aspects:

  • Taking responsibility for the design and delivery of high-quality reports and other long-form content where attention to detail is essential.
  • Creating a wide range of branded assets for our clients – such as brochures, digital marketing content, video, etc.
  • Using our own FLEX process to design and develop original creative concepts for our B2B brands.
  • Working with the Account Management team to understand the requirements of each creative brief and working with your fellow designers to deliver the best possible response.
  • Continually looking for opportunities to improve the way we work and operate creatively and collaboratively so that our work remains consistently high quality.

What we’d like you to bring:

  • A degree in graphic design.
  • A motivated and positive ‘can-do' attitude and the ability to work collaboratively to share your ideas.
  • Excellent computer skills and technical proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications including Indesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Experience and curiosity in the use of AI platforms to support creative ideation and visualisation, with an interest in pushing the boundaries of what's possible
  • Experience in basic video editing (e.g. After Effects) would be welcome
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English, plus good document presentation skills
  • A strong eye for detail
  • Keen problem-solving skills
  • An interest in sustainability and a commitment to designing more responsibly
  • The right to work legally in the UK

What we can offer you:

  • A creative agency which prides itself on the quality of its creative output
  • A collaborative, inclusive, supportive, and flexible working environment – we understand the importance of give and take and recognise that we need to work together to get the best results.
  • A generous 28 days holiday per calendar year (plus paid bank holidays), a competitive salary, life assurance and an employee assistance programme to support mental health and wellbeing

Please submit a covering letter with your cv, PLUS A PORTFOLIO which showcases your skills and experience. We look forward to hearing from you.

Pay: £30,000.00-£36,000.00 per year

  • Casual dress
  • Company events
  • Life insurance
  • Sick pay
