Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain high-quality websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Set up, configure, and manage WordPress environments, including theme and plugin development.
  • Collaborate with designers and other developers to create responsive, mobile-first designs.
  • Work with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or similar to translate design prototypes into functional web interfaces.
  • Conduct performance audits and optimise website markup and functionality to improve speed and efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients to understand project requirements and provide updates.

You'll Need To Have Experience With:

  • Developing websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript: Strong proficiency in these core web technologies is essential to create interactive and responsive web pages.
  • WordPress: Experience in setting up, configuring, and maintaining WordPress environments. This includes custom theme and plugin development, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Workflow Automation Tools: Familiarity with tools like Gulp, Grunt, or Webpack to automate tasks such as minification, compilation, and browser reloading.
  • Design Tools: Proficiency in using design tools like Figma, Sketch, or similar to convert design mockups into functional web components.
  • Mobile-First Approach: A strong understanding of responsive design principles and best practices to ensure websites look and function well on all devices.
  • Autonomous Work and Communication Skills: The ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and communicate clearly with team members and clients.

It Would Be Great If You Had Experience With:

  • Expo, React, React Native: These are the primary tools used within our agency. Experience with these frameworks will be a significant advantage as you'll be able to contribute to our mobile and web applications.
  • NextJS or Similar React Frameworks: Experience with server-side rendering and modern React frameworks will help you create performant and scalable web applications.
  • Headless CMS: Experience with headless CMS platforms like Strapi or PayloadCMS. This includes setting up, configuring, and integrating these systems with front-end frameworks to create dynamic and content-rich web applications.
  • Jira: Familiarity with using Jira for project management and issue tracking to stay organised and collaborate efficiently with the team.
  • Client Communication: Experience in communicating with clients to gather requirements, provide updates, and manage expectations effectively.
  • Website Performance: An understanding of the importance of website performance, with the ability to conduct audits and implement improvements to enhance speed and user experience.

  • Best Practices and Trends: You have a good knowledge of industry best practices, stay updated on new technologies, and are aware of current trends in web development.
  • Technical SEO, Ecommerce, Mobile Applications, Marketing, and Design: A keen interest in these areas will make you a well-rounded developer who can contribute to various aspects of our projects.
