Full job description

Position: Graphic Designer
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
Work hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30am-4pm (40 hours per week)
Location: Coleshill - 100% office based
Salary: £28,000

NCF Living is a fast-growing retail furniture brand, and we are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our team.

In this role, you will lead the creation of engaging visual content across both digital and print channels, ranging from high-converting website banners and social media assets to in-store POS and promotional print materials.

This is an ideal role for a creative Graphic Designer or graduate looking to drive the day-to-day visual output for a growing retail brand. You’ll play a key hands-on role in producing our website assets, store signage, and social collateral, with room to expand your skillset into basic photo/video capture and AI tools.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Core Graphic & Brand Design (70%)

  • Design eye-catching, high-converting assets for web and digital marketing (website homepage banners, landing page layouts, email campaigns, and paid social ads).
  • Produce clean, brand-consistent print assets and in-store Point of Sale (POS) materials, including price tickets, store signage, promotional posters, product specification sheets, brochures, and catalogues.
  • Maintain, refine, and harmonize NCF Living’s visual brand guidelines across all customer touchpoints.
  • Utilise AI design tools (e.g., image generation, retouching, autoformatting) to streamline design workflows and speed up content creation.

2. Visual Merchandising & E-Commerce Support (15%)

  • Work closely with the eCommerce team to prepare visual assets for new product launches, promotions, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Assist with the visual asset management on the website (e.g., uploading imagery, updating banner assets, and ensuring specs match template layouts).

3. Content Capture & Development Areas (15% – Growth Focus)

  • Capture basic product and lifestyle photos/short clips in our showroom/stores for social media and web assets (using smartphone/basic camera kit).
  • Opportunity to develop skills in planning, capturing, and editing basic short-form video (Reels, TikTok, store promo clips) to support social marketing.

Skills & Experience
Essential:

  • Proven experience as a Graphic Designer (in-house retail/e-commerce or agency experience preferred, strong college/uni portfolio considered).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or Figma.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing both digital (web/social) and print (POS/signage/marketing materials) work.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong typography, layout, and colour hierarchy skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Curiosity or experience with modern AI tools (e.g., Firefly, Midjourney, Canva AI) within design workflows.

Desirable / Growth Areas (Not essential, training/support provided):

  • Basic experience or interest in video editing, retouching (e.g., Premiere Pro, CapCut).
  • Understanding of e-commerce user journeys or visual merchandising principles.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating solid core design principles, typography, and visual judgment is more important to us than pre-existing reprographic or print specification knowledge. Technical production skills can be developed through internal mentoring and training in this role.

The role offers an immediate start for the suitable candidate.

Pay: £28,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • On-site parking

Work Location: In person
