Full job description

Techneat Engineering is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing Apprentice to join our friendly and supportive team. Based in Cambridgeshire, Techneat is an established manufacturer specialising in innovative products and engineering solutions for the agricultural, ground care and amenity markets. With a growing range of products and services, this is an exciting opportunity to join a successful business and develop your marketing career.

We’re looking for someone who is creative, passionate about marketing and full of ideas. You don’t need to have lots of experience – we’re looking for someone who is keen to learn, enjoys being creative and wants to develop their skills across a range of marketing activities.

You’ll work alongside a supportive and experienced team, gaining hands-on experience in areas such as social media, content creation, website management, advertising and events. You’ll be encouraged to bring your own ideas to the role while learning how marketing works within a growing business.

Alongside your role at Techneat, you’ll receive structured training through Baltic Apprenticeships, attending two-day training blocks every 4–6 weeks. This will give you the opportunity to build your marketing knowledge, gain a recognised qualification and put what you learn into practice.

If you’re passionate about marketing and ready to start your career, we’d love to hear from you.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Modern Marketing Professional qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Managing and updating website content to keep product and company information current.
  • Planning and managing social media activity across the major channels.
  • Supporting exhibition planning and helping deliver exhibition activity.
  • Liaising with designers to create adverts and other marketing materials.
  • Writing marketing content to increase awareness and understanding of Techneat and its products.
  • Supporting the Sales team with marketing activity and materials.
  • Supporting content creation, including video editing.
  • Managing marketing assets and supporting budget control.
  • Working with the team to support wider marketing and business goals.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to liaise with internal teams, designers and external suppliers.
  • Creativity, self-motivation and enthusiasm for developing marketing ideas, creating engaging content and supporting business growth.
  • Understanding of digital marketing, including social media management, website content, SEO and online advertising.
  • Basic knowledge of content creation tools, analytics and marketing platforms, with an interest in developing skills in areas such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Shopify and video editing.
  • A Grade 5 in GCSE Maths & a Grade 4 in GCSE English.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £20,000 per annum.
  • Monday- Friday, 8:30am- 5:00pm
  • 20 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Christmas shutdown.

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in digital marketing. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.

Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides the skills, qualification and experience you need to immerse yourself within an exciting, fast-moving industry and become an effective digital marketer.

With our expert online training and one-to-one support, you’ll channel your creativity and learn to create, implement, and analyse successful campaigns as part of a professional marketing team.

To apply, please submit your CV and a cover letter explaining your interest in the role and what you hope to gain from an apprenticeship with Techneat. If your application is then successful, one of our recruitment consultants will be in touch to discuss your application further.
