About Blabbermouth Marketing

Blabbermouth Marketing is a Lancashire-based digital agency with a national reach, specialising in the technology and telecoms sectors. We’re here to help our clients in these fast-paced industries connect meaningfully with their audiences through smart, user-focused websites and innovative digital strategies and strong HubSpot experiences. Our clients don’t just come to us for a new website; they look to us as partners who understand their challenges and are committed to bringing creative, effective solutions that help them stand out.

At Blabbermouth, we believe in collaboration and creativity, and our team reflects that. We value people who are excited to push the boundaries of digital design and who bring both fresh ideas and practical solutions to the table. If you're ready to make a real impact in a supportive, dynamic environment, Blabbermouth Marketing could be the perfect fit for you.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Web Designer to join our team, bringing a balance of creative flair and technical know-how to help us deliver engaging, high-performance websites. This role is central to our work, focusing on creating visually compelling, effective sites—primarily on WordPress with the Divi theme, with flexibility to explore new platforms and technologies as we grow. You’ll work closely with our digital, design, accounts, strategy and content team members to produce digital experiences that align with client goals and represent Blabbermouth’s standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Website Design & Development: Design and develop WordPress websites with the Divi theme, adding custom coding where needed to meet client specifications.
  • User Experience & Interface Design: Create intuitive, visually appealing websites that prioritise the user experience and align with clients’ branding and business objectives.
  • Custom Coding: Use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP to add custom functionality, troubleshoot, and deliver a high-quality product.
  • HubSpot Integration: Implement and integrate websites with HubSpot, setting up tracking, forms, and optimising for lead capture and conversion.
  • Stay Curious and Explore: Keep an eye on emerging tools and platforms to help our agency adapt and expand our service offerings.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work alongside content, development, and marketing teams to bring projects from concept to launch smoothly and on schedule.
  • Mobile & Responsive Design: Ensure all websites are responsive and optimised for different screen sizes, with a mobile-first approach.
  • SEO & Performance Optimisation: Work with SEO specialists to integrate best practices for fast, user-friendly websites.
  • Quality Assurance & Testing: Perform thorough testing across browsers and devices to deliver a consistent, high-quality experience.
  • Client Communication: Engage with clients to understand their vision, gather feedback, and adjust designs to meet and exceed expectations.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Professional Experience: A strong portfolio of web design and development work on WordPress/Divi, showcasing your ability to create engaging digital experiences.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, with a solid understanding of WordPress customisation.
  • HubSpot Proficiency: Experience with HubSpot, particularly in implementing website integrations, form setups, lead tracking, and leveraging HubSpot's tools for digital marketing.
  • Eye for Design: Strong grasp of design fundamentals, including typography, layout, and colour.
  • User-Centred Mindset: Knowledge of UX/UI design principles and the ability to apply these to create effective, user-first websites.
  • Data-Driven: Comfortable using analytics tools (like Google Analytics and HubSpot’s reporting features) to make design decisions based on user engagement and performance.
  • Project Management Skills: Able to handle multiple projects, keeping them on track and on time.
  • Clear Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present ideas effectively to clients and team members.
  • Design Software Expert: Experience with Adobe Creative Suite

What We Offer

  • Supportive, Creative Culture: Join a team that values collaboration, innovation, and making a real difference for our clients.
  • Ongoing Learning: Access to training, workshops, and resources to help you stay on top of the latest trends in web design.
  • Flexible Working: Options for hybrid or office-based work to support work-life balance.
  • Variety and Challenge: Opportunities to work on diverse projects, continually expanding your skill set and creative impact.
