Magento 2 Web Developer

We are working exclusively for our client, an established and reputable family-run agricultural business in Bourne who are seeking a Web Developer on a full-time basis to join their busy team. This role is available immediately.

This role is perfectly suited for a passionate, enthusiastic, and motivated worker who's currently working as a Web Developer within e-commerce. If you are an experienced Magento 2 Web Developer who can build and maintain an e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and customizing Magento 2 websites, integrating third-party extensions, and optimizing site performance. You will work closely with the design and marketing teams to deliver a seamless online shopping experience for our customers.

The standard working hours are Monday – Friday 07:30 – 17:00, however the start and finish times can be flexible but the working week will be 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:-

- Develop, customize, and maintain Magento 2 websites

- Implement new features and functionality according to business requirements

- Integrate third-party modules and extensions

- Optimize website performance and scalability

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and bugs

- Collaborate with designers to translate designs into functional websites

- Ensure website security and data protection

- Conduct regular site maintenance and updates

- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members

- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies

The successful candidate must have the following attributes and dispositions:-

- Proven experience as a trained and qualified Magento 2 Developer

- Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL

- Experience with Magento 2 architecture, layout, and coding standards

- Familiarity with front-end development (JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as React or Vue.js is a plus)

- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)

- Understanding of web services (REST/SOAP) and API integrations

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

- Magento 2 certification

- Experience with other e-commerce platforms

- Knowledge of SEO best practices

- Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure)

- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
