Full job description

As Content Marketing Manager at Rio IT, you’ll lead the charge in shaping how the world sees us, as a strategic, data-first Technology Success Partner (TSP) for ambitious mid-sized businesses. This is more than a marketing role. It’s an opportunity to take ownership of our narrative and build trust with time-poor decision-makers through content that’s clear, insightful, and genuinely helpful.

You’ll design and execute a content strategy that educates, challenges assumptions, and reflects our evolution from a traditional MSP to a forward-thinking TSP. Reporting to senior leadership, you’ll collaborate across teams to bring clarity to complex topics, telling stories that resonate with CEOs, FDs, and Heads of IT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Content Development: Own Rio’s content strategy across the buyer journey, aligning with our account-based marketing (ABM) approach and guiding prospects from awareness through to advocacy.
  • Audience Insight & Positioning: Understand the pressures and ambitions of mid-market CEOs and FDs. Create content that meets them where they are, educating and supporting them as they rethink their IT capability.
  • ClarITy Magazine Leadership: Take full ownership of Rio’s flagship publication, ClarITy. Define editorial direction, work with SMEs, and ensure every issue delivers technically-sound, business-relevant insights.
  • Content Creation & Management: Plan, write, and repurpose high-quality assets including blogs, case studies, whitepapers, email sequences, sales decks, video scripts, and web copy. Everything should embody our tone: professional, friendly, passionate, and strategic.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (IT Engineering and Software Development), to ensure content is accurate, valuable, and aligned with Rio’s business goals and client-first mindset.
  • Campaign Execution: Coordinate and contribute to webinars, video content, and multimedia campaigns that bring our technology-as-a-service ethos to life.
  • Performance & Optimization: Track and analyse content performance. Use insights to optimise the strategy, test new formats, and continually raise the bar.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B content marketing, ideally within IT, SaaS, or technology services
  • Strong grasp of IT services, managed support, and digital transformation trends
  • Proven success in ABM and content strategies tailored to enterprise or mid-market clients
  • Outstanding writing and editorial skills with a talent for simplifying the complex
  • Ability to independently manage and deliver multiple projects to deadline
  • Experience working with content platforms, CMSs, and marketing automation tools
  • Comfortable hosting or supporting webinars and other digital thought leadership
  • A growth mindset, curiosity, and the confidence to challenge the status quo

Why Join Rio IT?

At Rio, we don’t just support IT, we rethink what’s possible. We’re on a journey from MSP to TSP, and you’ll be at the heart of telling that story. You’ll have the autonomy to own your work, the support of a collaborative team, and the chance to make a real impact on how businesses view IT capability.
