What you'll be doing

This is a brilliant early-career opportunity to build hands-on experience in digital content, SEO and e-commerce campaign delivery with Boots in Nottingham. Sitting in the Digital team and working closely with the Digital Marketing Manager, you’ll help bring content and campaigns to life across beauty and retail channels, supporting launches, seasonal moments, site updates and optimisation activity.

You’ll work with internal SEO expertise, creative teams, agencies and other stakeholders to make sure content is accurate, engaging, commercially focused and easy for customers to find. If you’re proactive, organised and keen to learn how digital strategy becomes live customer experience, this role gives you the support, exposure and variety to grow.

Key responsibilities

Support the development and execution of content for e-commerce sites across key beauty and retail channels.

Help deliver the commercial calendar, including new product launches, site exclusives, gifting, seasonal moments and other key trading periods.

Maintain the e-commerce content calendar, helping activity land on time and in line with trading priorities.

Support on-site content enhancements designed to improve customer experience and conversion.

Brief creative teams clearly and in good time, making sure content requirements are understood and delivered.

Lead on new line set-ups across retailer and owned brand websites, keeping product detail pages maintained to a high standard.

Translate campaign ideas and performance insights into clear, actionable objectives.

Support the development of creative briefs and work with agency partners to help deliver campaign activity.

Monitor campaign performance and share useful insights with the Digital Marketing Manager to support optimisation.

Help build new content through the CMS and third-party tools, while also supporting budget tracking where needed.

What you'll need to have (our must-haves)

Some experience in digital content production and content optimisation, gained through work, study, internships, placements or personal projects.

Familiarity with CMS platforms or content-building tools, with the confidence to learn new systems quickly.

A proactive, organised approach and the ability to manage detail across multiple content tasks and deadlines.

Strong communication skills, including the ability to brief, update and work with different teams and external partners.

A digitally savvy mindset, with curiosity about SEO, e-commerce, customer journeys and campaign performance.

Basic analytical skills and an interest in using performance data to understand what is working and where content can improve.

Comfort using digital tools such as Excel, data analytics platforms and AI-enabled tools, with a willingness to keep learning.

Ability to work from our Nottingham office and collaborate closely with the wider Digital team.

It would be great if you also have

Copywriting experience, particularly for digital, retail, beauty or consumer-facing content.

Exposure to SEO activity such as page optimisation, keyword-led content, content audits or performance reporting.

Experience supporting product launches, PDP updates, trading calendars or e-commerce site activity.

An interest in beauty, retail and how strong digital content can influence customer experience and conversion.

An entrepreneurial mindset: someone who is happy to test, learn, improve and bring ideas to the team.

Where your brilliance can take you

This role is designed to be a strong launchpad into digital marketing, content, SEO or e-commerce. You’ll be supported by the Digital Marketing Manager and work alongside SEO, creative and agency specialists, giving you practical exposure to how campaigns are planned, built, optimised and measured in a major retail environment.

At Boots, we believe in helping people learn something new every day, use their voice and shape progress. Bring your curiosity, ownership and team-focused approach, and you’ll have the chance to grow your confidence across content delivery, performance tracking, stakeholder management and commercial campaign activation.
