Job Title: Magento Frontend Developer

Location: Bournemouth, UK

Who We Are:

At Envisage Digital, we are all about building awesome eCommerce experiences. We specialise in platforms like Magento / Adobe Commerce (our favourite!), Shopify, and BigCommerce. Right now, we’re looking for a skilled Magento frontend developer who’s ready to dive into challenging, rewarding projects and join our passionate team.

The Role:

We need someone who knows their way around Magento 2 and can lead frontend development projects with creativity and precision. You’ll be taking custom designs and turning them into fast, responsive, and visually stunning Magento themes. Whether it’s optimising performance or squashing frontend bugs, you’ll be at the centre of making sure every user interaction is top-notch.

Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like This:

• Taking charge of Magento 2 frontend development projects (yes, you'll be the go-to person!) using Hyvä Themes
• Collaborating with designers and backend devs to make sure everything works like a dream
• Creating responsive, cross-browser compatible themes that look great on any device
• Customising and maintaining Magento themes, constantly pushing the boundaries
• Debugging issues (because who doesn’t love a good bug hunt?) and ensuring high performance
• Staying on top of the latest Magento frontend trends and bringing fresh ideas to the table

What We’re Looking For:

• You have at least 4 years of experience working with Magento 2’s frontend (and you love it!)
• Strong skills in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript—plus you know your way around Knockout.js
• Experience with LESS or SASS and frontend build tools like Grunt, Gulp, or Webpack
• Familiar with Magento’s layout XML and templating system
• You can create custom Magento themes and make them perform like a dream
• Bonus points if you have worked with Hyvä Themes although it is simple enough to learn on the job!
• You understand responsive design and how to build sites that look perfect on any screen
• You are a problem-solver with an eye for detail, and you thrive on a challenge
• You’re a good communicator who works well independently, but you’re also a team player
• You have strong skills in GIT version control and Composer package manager

What Would Be Nice to Have:

• Experience with PWA (Progressive Web Apps)
• An understanding of eCommerce SEO best practices
• Knowledge of Shopify or BigCommerce
